Doris Luttrell Home in Northern Alabama
We finally got a chance to travel to Alabama on Saturday to Doris Luttrell's Open House and Primitives Sale. She has invited us down for many years but we always had something else going on when she was having her Open House.
Doris is a very talented artist and designer and paints on anything and has such a creative mind for coming up with the most unique sayings. We have had the opportunity to participate with her in a number of shows that have been held in Tennessee. The dealers at these shows all become good friends because it is a lot of work but we all still have time to visit and check in with our friends to see what is going on in their lives.

Mike and Doris moved into their home about 4 years ago. They designed it to look like an old Alabama farm house. They have tall ceilings and a center hallway. They've used horizontal boards for the walls downstairs and old doors wherever possible. And believe me...it is just wonderful. Doris has the gift of putting anything together and it just works.
